Otago peninsular, altered scapes, distortion
This image has been added to the exhibition. I had begun work on it after the exhibition opened. I was asked if I had a picture that included Broad bay, so here it is.

Altered Scapes.
This exhibition is currently showing at the Allez! Gallery, 34 George St, Port Chalmers. Open 11.00 to 4.00 weekends. Until 10 August.
These large inkjet prints of landscapes around Dunedin have been distorted to provide a surprising look at familiar locations.
From the press release:
Chris Reid photographs the landscape as he experiences it. Distorted proportions exaggerate the viewers' emotional response. His romanticists' lens displays the local environment as a towering, Tolkienesque world of fjord like waters and barely dormant volcanoes. The city is seen as a gothic toytown, as disturbingly familiar as it is strangely beautiful.

Showcase
Kia ora reader.
My name is Chris Reid and I have created this blog as a show case for my work as a photographer.
I will post information about past, present and upcoming exhibitions and other work.
Part of my work is architectural photography so I will also put up some examples of that.
Thanks for having a look.
Chris
